Job summary

Raceon Gmbh is seeking an engineering professional to support activities in motorsports. The position focuses on optimizing vehicle performance and involves travel to race tracks. Job description

General Information

We can currently only consider applications from candidates based in Europe or the USA. This position is remote, hybrid, or in-office, depending on the project. Regular travel to the race track is required.

Your mission

• Support all race, test, simulator and rig activities
• Working in conjunction with other engineers and drivers to optimize the performance on track
• Providing pre & post event simulation, analysis and key performance metrics of tyre performance in race and test events
• Assist in developing tyre physics understanding and in conjunction with tyre modelling engineers to support vehicle performance analysis and development
• Ensure on-going validation and correlation of the tyre models to track and rig data to ensure robust validation of simulation results
• Research and use appropriate technologies to ensure the continuous development of our models to meet the engineering requirements of the Team
• Interact across the entire Team to provide methodologies, tools and solutions to support objective technical decision making

Your profile

• Degree in engineering or comparable higher education
• At least 3 years’ experience in high level motor sports
• Good theoretical knowledge in the field of vehicle dynamics and tyres modelling
• Experience with tyre testing on track and/or test benches
• Practical experience in the use of coding languages such as MATLAB or Python
• Knowledge of data analysis programs
• Good communication skills.
• Time flexibility, absolute willingness to travel, especially on weekends
• You are able to work in a team and independently and you have a high level of commitment
