Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Track Vehicle Repairer to perform maintenance on track vehicles and supervise related repairs of fuel and electrical systems. The role offers hands-on training and a pathway to civilian mechanic careers in diesel and transmission systems.

The position emphasizes learning engine repair, body panels, and troubleshooting in a disciplined military environment, with earning while you learn through paid training and drill pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair diesel power plants/packs, compression ignition engine fuel systems, and compression ignition air induction systems.
• Fix vehicle air cooling systems and vehicle liquid cooling systems, and track hull electrical systems and automatic transmission assemblies.
• Service track vehicle cross drive transmission assemblies, transfer assemblies, hydraulic brake.
