Railserve is seeking dependable Track Laborers to support track construction and maintenance operations in the Indianapolis area. This hands-on, outdoor role involves working as part of a crew to keep rail infrastructure safe and efficient.

Starting pay is $22.50 per hour, with a schedule that varies by site and need. Ideal candidates enjoy outdoor work, understand safety procedures, and can operate as part of a team performing physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor in outdoor environments.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy materials and equipment.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive spikes and assist with track installation and maintenance.
• Move and set cross ties and sections of rail.
• Shovel ballast and support track alignment.
• Adjust and lubricate switches.
• Tighten track bolts and hardware.
• Check track gauge and cross level.
• Carry and use track tools and equipment (including track jack ~40 lbs).
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
