Job summary

Charlotte Motor Speedway is seeking a Track Operations Intern for Spring 2027. The role offers hands-on experience in daily facility operations, event setup, and coordination for NASCAR race weekends and other major events.

Interns will work with experienced professionals and gain insight into event planning, operation logistics, and venue management. The internship targets current students or recent graduates in sports management or related fields and requires a proactive, team-oriented

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a degree in sports management, event management, motorsports, business administration, construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends during events.

Responsibilities

• Assist Track Operations with daily facility preparation and event setup.
• Help install, move, and maintain barriers, signage, cones, fencing, and other operational equipment.
• Assist with race weekend setup and post-event cleanup activities.
• Support track rental operations by preparing equipment and ensuring customer areas are ready for use.
• Attend operational meetings and post-event debriefs to understand planning and decision-making.
