Job summary

Delaware North Gaming at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, is seeking a full-time Track Maintenance Worker to ensure the safety and proper maintenance of the racing surface and related equipment.

You will inspect surfaces, assist in track maintenance, report unsafe conditions, and help with grounds projects. The position includes Sundays and Mondays off, a pay rate of $17.50 per hour, with comprehensive benefits as described in our offerings.

Qualifications

• Current valid motor vehicle license.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Racing Commission License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with racing commission standards, inspect the track surface, infield, and tote board area, performing maintenance of the track and racing surface operating track equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Assist in beautification projects
• Inspect boiler and heating tubes to ensure proper heating and moisture conditions
• Immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Racing
• Properly maintain the kennel compound’s sprint path and associated grounds

$17.50 – $17.50 / hour

More about you

Physical requirements

• Capacity to lift or carry up to 90 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk for long periods, as well as push and pull, climb, mount, and dismount forklift
• Possible exposure to varying temperatures, high volume noise, fumes and odors, and dogs and dog dander
