Job summary

Thompson Concrete is seeking a Track Hoe Operator to safely operate excavators on commercial concrete projects. You will support site preparation, grading, backfill, and material handling while coordinating with foremen, laborers, and other operators.

You will read basic site plans and grade stakes, perform daily equipment inspections, and maintain a safe, organized jobsite. A strong safety mindset and reliable teamwork are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience operating track hoes/excavators on commercial construction sites.
• Strong safety mindset around utilities, people, equipment, and active sites.
• Ability to understand field direction, grade marks, elevations and simple drawings.
• Good communication with foremen, superintendents, operators and laborers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate track hoes, excavators, and related equipment on commercial concrete projects.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfill, loading, and material movement as directed.
• Read and understand site plans, grade stakes, and elevations from field leadership.
• Maintain daily equipment inspections and report issues immediately.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area and communicate with crew.
