Job summary

Rocky Mountain Jr High in West Haven, Utah, is seeking an Assistant Coach for miscellaneous hours during the athletic season. This position is after school/evening and at-will, with pay per season within the Weber School District.

Applicants should be able to work with students and the community, promote positive interactions, and bring together diverse groups. Secondary coaching experience and state athletic certification are preferred; background checks are required before coaching begins.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with students, community and peers and promote a positive manner in bringing all these groups together.
• Secondary coaching experience is desired.
• Ability to motivate and inspire kids to be academic athletes and to teach them fundamental skills.
• All conditions being equal, a certified employee of the District or an individual who has passed the State Athletic Certification program will be given priority.
• Individuals must complete a background check prior to starting to coach. Varsity or collegiatelevel experience preferred.
• Physical Demands: Specifics: Lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, pushing, pulling etc.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
