Job summary

Turner Unified School District #202 is seeking an Assistant Varsity Coach to assist in supervising sports for grades 7–12. The role reports to the Head Varsity Coach and Athletic Director and operates within the district’s athletic program.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or Rule 10 eligibility, a Kansas Teaching Certificate, and health inoculation documentation, along with at least three years of secondary coaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or meet Rule 10 requirements.
• Current Kansas State Teaching Certificate on file in the Central Office meet Rule 10 requirements.
• Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the Central Office (after employment offer is made).
• At least three years of coaching experience at the secondary level.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain current first aid, CPR and AED certifications.
• Provide supervision and quality instruction to staff and participants.
• Enforce rules and establish fair rules.
• Demonstrate leadership and positive role modeling for athletes.
• Coordinate with Head Varsity Coach and Athletic Director.
