Job summary

Turner Unified School District #202 is seeking an Assistant Varsity Coach to supervise athletics for grades 7–12 and work with the Head Varsity Coach and Athletic Director. This role supports safety, training, and team development within the district’s athletic program.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or Rule 10 qualification, a current Kansas teaching certificate, health inoculation documentation, and at least three years of coaching at the secondary level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or meet Rule 10 requirements.
• Current Kansas State Teaching Certificate on file in the Central Office meet Rule 10 requirements.
• Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the Central Office (after employment offer is made).
• At least three years of coaching experience at the secondary level.

Responsibilities

• Ability to obtain and maintain current first aid, CPR and AED certifications.
• Ability to provide supervision and quality instruction to staff and participants.
