Job summary

Hampshire Regional High School seeks an Indoor Track Coach to develop student-athletes and foster teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship. The role requires coaching experience, CPR/First Aid/AED certifications and Concussion Training, with seasonal salary under HRTA terms.

The position reports to the Principal and Athletic Director and involves work on both indoor and outdoor fields. CORI and fingerprint checks are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, AED and concussion training as required.
• Successful experience coaching or supervising students/athletes.

Responsibilities

• Guide participants in skills for growth and achievement in the sport.
• Design practices to reduce injury risk.
• Plan and schedule a training program before and during the season.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship at all times.
• Schedule interscholastic contests with Athletic Director.
• Maintain student records including attendance and insurance.
• Communicate status of injured athletes with parents/physicians.
• Ensure eligibility criteria for competition are met.
• Oversee safety of athletic venues when students are present.
• Advise on health, nutrition and conditioning to optimize performance.
• Recommend equipment, supplies and uniforms as needed.
• Complete mandatory trainings as required.
