Job summary

SYSTRA, a global leader in rail and transit engineering, seeks a Track Engineering Manager for its New Jersey office. You will oversee track design staff, plan and manage projects, and ensure compliance with standards while coordinating with sector management to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, mentoring staff, developing proposals, and delivering high-quality designs for major rail facilities. Strong leadership and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of ten years’ relevant discipline experience.
• Minimum of five years’ demonstrated management experience.
• Proficient project management experience and skill.
• Leadership and communications skills to supervise and mentor subordinates.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Experience in project management, design, inspection, and construction of major facilities and/or rail transportation projects.
• Must be able to supervise a staff of track engineers and designers.
• Must be recognized as authority in the field.

Responsibilities

• Chargeability/realization goals for personnel as defined annually.
• Manage, direct, and mentor the track design staff to meet project and client demands.
• Identify staffing needs and maintain candidate pipeline for growth.
• Ensure work quality and coordination with other sectors on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Assign, manage, and perform project work including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Analyze survey data to plan projects.
• Provide technical advice and oversee project execution.
• Write test procedures and review designs; seal drawings if licensed.
• Develop proposals and participate in client presentations to secure work.
