Job summary

Huntsman is seeking a Technical Service Manager to lead the Technical Service and Applications Engineering team for TPU and liquid polyurethane elastomers in the Americas, based in Derry, NH or Auburn Hills, MI. You will guide customer support, application development, product validation, and commercialization while driving growth and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• 8+ years in technical service, applications engineering, product development, or related roles within polymers/elastomers.
• 3+ years of leadership and people management experience.
• Experience leading customer-facing technical service, application development, product validation, and field trials.
• Strong knowledge of TPU, elastomers, polymer processing, and application development.
• Willingness to travel 25-40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Technical Service and Applications Engineering activities for TPU and liquid polyurethane elastomer growth.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for customer support, development, validation, and commercialization.
• Serve as senior technical authority for processing, application, and product performance challenges.
• Develop technical strategies to strengthen customer relationships and business performance.
• Support strategic customers through technical engagement, trials, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing Technical Service and Applications Engineering team.
• Oversee labs, pilot plants, and validation programs; manage budgets and resources.
