Job summary

Covestro in New Martinsville, WV is offering a co-op position in Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) that supports the TPU staff and automation initiatives. You will engage in hands-on operations, CAD modeling, P&ID updates, and project work within the Operating Unit, contributing to maintenance strategies and continuous improvement.

Students enrolled in Mechanical, Plastics, or CS programs, with Sophomore/Junior standing, and in a college co-op, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Must have completed Sophomore or Junior year by the time of hire.
• Must be participating in a college co-op program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct/Support Automation strategies using DCS and Pi systems.
• Conduct/Support P&ID modifications.
• Prepare CAD models for Operating Unit processes.
• Design/Implement small projects as required.
• Support Preventive Maintenance Plan in SAP environment.
• Support Operations by preparing information, reports and presentations.
