Position Summary

The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporarypart-time faculty to teach Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses. This will be a continuous recruitment starting with the Fall 2026 semester. The posting will remain open and applicants will be selected as needed per semester.


Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in ruralValencia County, The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-yearbranch campus of The University of New Mexico which functions as a communitycollege in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academictransfer programs, technical programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit coursesto high schools in Valencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty and staffserve a student body of over 2,000 students per semester.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field and a current New Mexico RN Licensure; or

  • Associate degreein nursing or related field and a current New Mexico RN Licensure and one year teaching experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • At least one year working in a long-term care facility

  • Clinical coordinating experience

  • Ademonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and variedcultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to servelocal and global communities.
