Job summary

Toyoda Gosei Americas is seeking a production operator to follow standardized work, manage Kanban parts, and adhere to TPS basics for efficient, safe production in Indiana. You will perform quality checks, label and package parts, and report issues to supervisors to prevent downtime.

The role requires reading ability, basic math, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment with PPE and safety rules. This position is full-time and on-site at our New Albany facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words; basic math and measurement capability.
• Willingness to pass job-related assessments including dexterity, vision, and reliability tests.
• Must be able to communicate in simple written and verbal form.
• Requires knowledge to follow safety rules and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Follow area-specific startup, production, or gaging instructions using standardized work.
• Adhere to condition standards; record readings and report abnormalities promptly.
• Label and scan products; understand and use Kanban systems.
• Perform 100% production for scheduled Kanban parts per shift.
• Report safety, quality, and production issues to supervisor quickly.
• Pack and store finished goods correctly; ensure proper handling during transit.
