The TPR EMR Coach, under the supervision of the Market Clinical Informatics Manager and following established policies and procedures, functions as a clinical application expert. The primary responsibility is to train TPR office staff to efficiently use clinical applications such as Athena, Dragon, Medi-Mobile, and Collector. The coach provides proactive, hands-on support to clinic staff and conducts purposeful clinic rounds to assist providers and staff in integrating clinical applications into workflow. The coach ensures consistent and effective application use aligned with policies and standards. Occasionally, they may create educational content for providers and staff and regularly seek feedback to improve service quality, communicating insights to the Market Clinical Informatics Director.

The TPR EMR Coach collaborates with the Manager to enhance clinician satisfaction with clinical applications, capturing the 'voice of the customer' and improving IS support.

Must be able to commute daily to the Market area.

Up to 25% travel outside the market and 75% within. A valid MVR is required for final candidates due to travel demands.

Responsibilities
  • Onsite onboarding and training of physicians and support staff (PSR, MA, referral staff, biller, coder, PM) on systems including Athena, Patient Portal, Phreesia, MediMobile, Dragon, and Virtual Visits.
  • Assist with system implementation, including analysis, design, configuration, testing, and support.
  • Share updates on new system releases with stakeholders, testing features for compliance with policies.
  • Provide recommendations on EHR workflows and functionalities weekly onsite.
  • Support custom template development, scheduling, EPCS setup, HIE requests, TAO, and practice role requests.
  • Schedule clinic visits to assess system adoption and address staff issues.
  • Create and submit visit reports to leadership.
  • Monitor end-user reports to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency.
  • Process TenetOne tickets related to patient merge, training requests, and offboarding.
  • Conduct New Hire CSS orientation.
  • Develop and review educational materials regularly.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in ambulatory clinical settings (e.g., physician clinics).
  • At least one year of experience with clinical information systems, preferably Athena.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows and technology integration.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
  • Professionalism and customer service orientation are essential.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Note: Compliance with vaccination laws is required, with accommodations available for exemptions. Final candidate must have a valid MVR due to travel requirements.
