Job summary

Strongpoint Partners is seeking a TPA Sales Consultant to develop new business and deepen distribution of retirement plan services across the Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa region. This is a fully remote position reporting to the National Sales organization.

You will engage advisors and recordkeepers, articulate plan design and compliance concepts, and build durable partnerships while managing a proactive sales pipeline in HubSpot.

Qualifications

  • Experience in field retirement plan sales or institutional sales.
  • Familiarity with third-party administration (TPA) and defined contribution/DB plans.
  • Established relationships with financial advisors, recordkeepers, and retirement plan consultants.
  • Strong presentation, networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and pipeline management.
  • Ability to explain complex retirement plan concepts in a clear, consultative manner.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, and close new opportunities with financial advisors, RIAs, broker-dealers, recordkeepers, CPAs and other retirement plan intermediaries.
  • Deepen and broaden Strongpoint Partners’s distribution network across the designated territory.
  • Build deep and productive long-term partnerships with advisors, recordkeepers, and centers of influence (CPAs, ERISA attorneys, consultants).
  • Execute targeted sales strategies and local events to increase market awareness of TPA services and retirement plan consulting capabilities.
  • Position Strongpoint Partners as a trusted partner by providing insights on plan design, compliance, and administrative efficiency.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments affecting retirement plans and third-party administration.
  • Partner with local actuarial consulting and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients and advisors while engaging with the platform team.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular reporting on opportunities, forecasts, and activity through HubSpot.

Position Summary:

The TPA Sales Consultant is responsible for developing new business opportunities and deepening distribution relationships that support the growth of Strongpoint Partners retirement plan services. The role focuses on engaging advisors, recordkeepers, and other key industry partners to promote our third-party administration solutions and actuarial consulting capabilities available across the assigned territory.This role will report to the Strongpoint National Sales organization and will be representing Howard Simon, Inc. a Strongpoint Partner firm.

This position requires a strong understanding of the retirement plan (DC & DB) landscape and the ability to communicate complex plan design, financial illustrations, and actuarial concepts in a practical advisor and plan sponsor friendly manner.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position; however, we are looking for candidates specifically located in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Identify, cultivate, and close new opportunities with financial advisors, RIAs, broker-dealers, recordkeepers, CPAs and other retirement plan intermediaries.

  • Relationship Management: Build deep and productive long term partnerships with advisors, recordkeepers, and centers of influence (CPAs, ERISA attorneys, consultants).
  • Sales Strategy: Execute targeted sales strategies and local events to increase market awareness of SPP’s TPA services and retirement plan consulting capabilities.
  • Consultative Selling: Position SPP as a trusted partner by providing insights on plan design, compliance, and administrative efficiency.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments affecting retirement plans and third-party administration.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with local actuarial consulting and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients and advisors while also engaging continually with the SPP platform team.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular reporting on opportunities, forecasts, and business development activity through our HubSpot sales CRM system.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in field retirement plan sales, financial services distribution or institutional sales.
  • Background in internal or external financial services sales strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with third-party administration (TPA), defined contribution plans, and defined benefit / cash balance plans.
  • Established relationships with financial advisors, recordkeepers, and retirement plan consultants preferred.
  • Strong presentation, networking, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to explain complex retirement plan concepts in a clear and consultative manner.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and pipeline management skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility with financial advisors
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn retirement plan structures and regulations
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across sales, marketing, and operations teams

Pay Transparency Statement:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $90,000-$125,000 annually plus commission/bonus structure.

At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
