Swickard Toyota of Edmonds in Edmonds, WA is seeking experienced flat-rate technicians with solid diagnostic skills to service Toyota vehicles. Toyota experience is preferred, but skilled technicians from other import or domestic brands are welcome to apply in a high-volume, Seattle-area shop.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership (required).
• Toyota experience preferred; Honda/Subaru/Nissan/Mazda or other import/domestic backgrounds welcome.
• Strong diagnostic foundation for multi-system problems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Toyota vehicles across engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and more using OEM procedures.
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans for guest authorization.
• Execute repairs to Toyota factory specifications with speed and accuracy; document work and parts used.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair Toyota vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and beyond -- using Toyota diagnostic platforms and OEM procedures
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
• Execute repairs to Toyota factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
• Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
• Stay current on Toyota technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout every shift
• Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership -- required
• Toyota brand experience preferred -- experienced technicians from Honda, Subaru, Nissan, Mazda, domestic brands, or other import backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Strong diagnostic foundation -- able to work through multi-system problems accurately and efficiently
• Toyota Techstream or equivalent diagnostic platform experience preferred
• ASE certifications a strong plus -- Toyota factory certifications highly valued
• Low comeback rate and a quality standard that doesn't require managing
• Physically capable of performing the demands of the role throughout the shift
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
