The Walt Disney Company’s Disney Consumer Products - Product Design internship in Orlando, FL is a six-month, full-time program from January 2027 to June 2027. You will work with designers to take concepts from ideation through sampling and into production, across categories like plush, action figures, games, and playsets.

Mentorship from experienced toy/product designers guides your exploration of Disney IP and development cycles.

Qualifikationen

• Strong portfolio with sketching, ideation, anatomy, form and function; 3D development is a bonus.
• Experience or interest in toy design or industrial design across categories (plush, dolls, action figures, games, etc.).
• Proficiency with design software like Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with 3D tools is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Support the design team in developing concepts and sketches for toy and play products across multiple categories, following select products from ideation through prototyping, sampling, and into production.
• Assist in building, refining, and providing feedback on physical and digital prototypes.
• Participate in brainstorms and concept reviews, contributing ideas rooted in Disney IP including Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and more.
• Research trends in toy design, play patterns, and materials to inform new product concepts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, Sourcing, and Merchant partners to bring designs from concept through production.
• Review and provide feedback on samples as products move toward final production and placement on stage in our parks.
• Help prepare presentation boards, mood boards, and pitch materials for internal design reviews.
• Incorporate feedback from mentors and leadership, iterating quickly across multiple concepts and development rounds.
