Job summary

Paramount Global, including MTV as a unit, seeks a Toy Designer with a strong knowledge of preschool toys, plush, action figures, dolls, games and more. You will drive design from concept through development, collaborating with licensees and internal teams to deliver high-quality, market-aligned products.

The role requires 1–2 years in toy manufacturing, fluency with Illustrator/Photoshop, and cost-efficient design thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design/Toy Design/Entertainment Design or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the Toy Manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and plastic materials.
• In-depth knowledge of soft goods (plush and dolls) and fabrics.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to think creatively and conceptually and communicate vision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product development of Paramount brands to ensure fun, quality toys from licensees.
• Review submissions from licensees and respond promptly.
• Provide detailed 3D comments and develop control drawings when needed.
• Follow a product line from concept to development to meet milestones.
• Attend licensees’ weekly meetings.
• Solve aesthetic and manufacturing issues including cost reduction strategies.
• Ensure products align with market and consumer trends.
• Brainstorm new product concepts for existing and new Paramount properties.
• Present concepts to design team and management.
