Job summary

Abbott is hiring a Business Support Specialist in the Toxicology division, onsite in Kansas City, MO or Richmond, VA. The role coordinates urgent drug and alcohol testing requests for employer accounts and acts as a central contact to ensure timely scheduling and issue resolution.

You will work with collection providers and internal teams to maintain testing operations, manage documentation, and monitor cases to ensure accurate, timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience in customer service, call center operations, healthcare support or logistics coordination.
• Experience coordinating schedules, requests, cases with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate emergency and time-sensitive drug and alcohol testing requests for employer clients.
• Serve as primary contact for key accounts, providing responsive support and issue resolution.
• Identify and schedule collection providers for various testing events.
• Document activity accurately in scheduling and CRM systems and manage inquiries.
• Partner with employers, collectors, and internal teams to address service issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure supplies for events.
• Assist with invoice and payment processes and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor cases, escalate when needed, and ensure timely testing completions.
