Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our Toxicology/Bio Monitoring team in Burlington, NC. This entry-level role offers full training and exposure to a wide range of clinical laboratory testing activities.

You will work Thursday–Sunday, 2:00pm–12:30am, and gain hands-on experience with specimen acceptance, assay procedures, and instrument maintenance. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science and are prepared to pursue ASCP/AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to laboratory workflows.
• Must be able to pass color vision test and meet CLIA standards.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
