Job summary

Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Technologist Trainee to join the team on a 6:00am–2:30pm schedule, Tuesday through Saturday. New grads are welcome and full training will be provided.

Responsibilities include receiving specimens, evaluating test orders, prioritizing work, operating multiple platforms (Hamilton/Nimbus, LCMS, immunoassay analyzers) and reviewing data in a cloud-based system to ensure quality and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens for testing.
• Evaluate specimens and test orders.
• Determine priority of work and batches to maintain acceptable turn-around-time.
• Recognize unacceptable and unusual specimens and handle appropriately.
• Operate Hamilton/Nimbus automated extraction instruments, Immunoassay chemistry analyzers, LCMS instrumentation, and cloud-based data review.
