Job summary

Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. This role supports clinical lab operations by receiving and preparing specimens, performing data entry, and ensuring equipment readiness.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, be comfortable handling biological specimens, and be able to work 1st shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling specimens.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal.
• Proficient data entry and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards.
