Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, data entry, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. Preferred is Labcorp experience and 1+ year in healthcare, manufacturing, or clinical lab settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Labcorp experience is a plus.
• Healthcare setting experience (1+ year) preferred.
• Assembly or manufacturing production experience (1+ year) preferred.
• Medical/clinical laboratory experience (1+ year) preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and following SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
