Job summary

Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP is seeking a litigation attorney to handle all phases of toxic tort and asbestos cases in a hybrid role. The successful candidate must be admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars, with Delaware Bar admission a plus, and bring substantive litigation experience with strong research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of toxic tort and asbestos litigation including case management, motions, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations and trials.
• Coordinate with national coordinating, regional, and local counsel as needed.
• Support the firm’s toxic tort and asbestos practices across relevant matters.

Overview

• The role involves all phases of toxic tort and asbestos litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Requires strong research and writing skills; while prior toxic tort litigation experience is preferred, candidates with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in toxic tort law will be considered.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars is required, and admission to the Delaware Bar is a plus.
• The firm's Toxic Tort and Asbestos practices have defended claims involving exposure to asbestos, benzene, diacetyl, carbon monoxide, and other chemical products since the 1980s.
• The asbestos litigation practice serves as national coordinating, regional, and local counsel for a diverse range of defendants, including manufacturers, distributors, contractors, premises owners, and entities in industries such as shipbuilding, energy, education, and construction.
• This is a hybrid position.
