Job summary

Kalyan Hospitality in Virginia is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure smooth operation and upkeep of all facilities. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities include inspections, responding to requests, maintaining records, and coordinating with departments to minimize disruption. Weekend availability is required and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in general maintenance or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between hotel facilities as needed.
• Available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests, diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies by following proper procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
