Job summary

Industrial Communications West in Amarillo, TX is hiring experienced tower climbers for regular full-time telecom work. You will climb towers up to 500 ft to install and maintain antennas, radios, and cabling, run coax and fiber, and perform sweep testing.

Expect long days, weather exposure, and opportunities for advancement to Top Hand or Foreman. Requirements include at least 1 year of tower climbing/telecom construction, knowledge of rigging and tower safety, ability to use hand and power

Responsibilities

• Climb towers (up to 500 ft) to install and maintain antennas, radios, and cabling
• Run coax and fiber, install connectors, and perform sweep and fiber testing
• Install mounts, RRUs, masts, supports, and other tower equipment
• Work on microwave dishes (1 ft–10 ft)
• Troubleshoot RF, fiber, and equipment issues
• Build and modify towers (monopoles, guyed, self-supports)
• Load/unload gear, keep sites clean, and complete job paperwork
• Lead crew members if you’re in a Top Hand/Foreman role

Salary Range: $25.00 To $38.00 Hourly

We’re hiring experienced tower climbers for telecom work. If you’ve climbed, rigged, and built towers before, we want you on the crew. Candidates must reside in Texas, Colorado, Nebraska or South Dakota.

What You’ll Do

• Climb towers (up to 500 ft) to install and maintain antennas, radios, and cabling
• Run coax and fiber, install connectors, and perform sweep and fiber testing
• Install mounts, RRUs, masts, supports, and other tower equipment
• Work on microwave dishes (1 ft–10 ft)
• Troubleshoot RF, fiber, and equipment issues
• Build and modify towers (monopoles, guyed, self-supports)
• Load/unload gear, keep sites clean, and complete job paperwork
• Lead crew members if you’re in a Top Hand/Foreman role

What You Need

Certs (Have Them or Get Them)

• OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 required after hire)
• First Aid / CPR

Requirements

• 21 or older with a valid driver’s license
• Pass background check, MVR, and drug test
• Lift 75 lbs. and handle long days
• Work outside in all weather
