Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Tower Technician III to install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment. You will work in a safety-minded environment and contribute to expanding technology for a better community.

Responsibilities include climbing towers, erecting towers, offloading materials, preparing sites, installing carriers, and assisting in tower erection with helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required with a focus on safety and quality.
• 4+ years of tower experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow printed instructions.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (OSHA, etc.).
• NWSA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment and systems.
• Climb towers and ladders; assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.
• Prepare sites, offload materials, install carriers, and install electrical foundations and grounding.
• Mentor newer technicians and perform other duties as assigned.
