Job summary

Network Connex is hiring Tower Technicians to support telecommunications installations, tower construction and maintenance, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes for customers.

The role requires climbing tall structures, operating heavy equipment, and collaborating with a Foreman to meet schedules and budgets. A high school diploma or trade school background, plus willingness to travel, are expected.

• Telecommunications experience.
• Basic knowledge of fiber, sweep, and PIM testing.
• Ability to operate aerial lifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Climb and work on communications towers; install/repair antenna equipment.
• Takes direction from Foreman to ensure safety and quality within budgets.
• Review and prepare build documentation with Foreman; assemble materials.
• Track on-site inventory and materials.
• Perform tower inspections, inventories, and audits.
• Submit on-site closeout documentation per timelines.
• Assist training crew on safety/quality standards (CCDP).
• Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies.

Tower Technicians support all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunication structures. To include ensuring that work is performed in the safest manner possible by delivering a high-quality product to our customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Climbing and working on communications towers; installing, replacing, and repairing antenna equipment
• Takes direction from crew Foreman ensuring safety and quality standards are met while adhering to project budgets and timelines.
• Review documentation with Foreman to prepare for the build, assemble the necessary materials, and determine the required installation methods.
• Help supervise the tracking of all on-site inventory and materials.
• Perform tower inspections, inventories, and audits as needed.
• Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per the deliverable timelines.
• Assist training crew members on proper safety/quality standards to align with CCDP (Crew Career Development Program)
• Maintain issued equipment and reported deficiencies as needed.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Telecommunications experience
• Basic knowledge of how to perform fiber, sweep, and PIM testing.
• Ability to operate aerial lifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the set schedule.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
• Valid driver's license preferred with a driving record that meets Company requirements.
• Ability to travel away from home, including weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Job Requirements:

• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a drug screen
