Augusta Tower Technologies is seeking an Experienced Tower Climber (Top Hand) in Michigan to install, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless telecommunications equipment on towers. The role requires climbing towers and working at height with safety as a priority.

Based on the advertised pay, the position offers $24–$28 per hour with per diem, travel stipends, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of tower climbing or telecommunications construction.
• NWSA TTT-1 certification preferred; must be obtained within 90 days.
• Proficient in rigging, tower erection, and antenna installation.
• Strong understanding of RF systems, fiber optics, and telecom infrastructure.
• Ability to read technical drawings, construction prints, and schematics.
• Physically capable of lifting 70+ lbs and working at heights over 300 ft.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless telecommunications equipment on towers.
• Work safely at extreme heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Diagnose and resolve telecommunications system issues quickly.
• Troubleshoot technical problems in the field under challenging conditions.
• Follow all safety procedures and site regulations.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
• Support project crews and maintain high installation standards.
• Travel extensively throughout Michigan as required.
