Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess valid air traffic controller certification and currency.
• Must possess valid FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certification and currency.
• Must possess FAA Class II Medical Certificate for Air Traffic Control.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Pass a pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Provide VFR air traffic control services to aircraft operating near the airport and on the movement area.
• Direct aircraft taxi, takeoff, and landing to ensure safe, orderly, and expeditious movement.
• Operate ATC equipment and communicate with pilots to relay critical information.
• Provide training and mentorship to personnel to meet ATC certification requirements.
• Assist in developing local procedural guidance and participate in drills and proficiency tests.
