Job summary

Bartow Airport Authority is seeking an Air Traffic Control Specialist to manage the safe movement of aircraft on the airfield and in surrounding airspace. The role requires operating under FAA regulations with rotating 10-hour shifts and collaboration with fellow controllers.

Ideal candidates have three years of tower ATC experience; CTO license is preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to support operations at Bartow Airport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of tower experience Air Traffic Control Specialist.
• CTO license preferred (three years).
• One-year OJTI experience preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct safe, orderly movement of air traffic on movement areas as per FAA regulations.
• Select active runways and coordinate takeoffs/landings for efficient flow.
• Monitor weather and provide pilots with field conditions and advisories.
• Coordinate with other controllers to balance arrivals and departures.
• Maintain daily records and assist with data entry in Excel.
