Job summary

Responsibilities include supervising crew, ensuring safety, conducting drills, and reporting violations. Must be able to work outdoors and on the dock area, with physical duties as described.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Must retain a USCG Master of Towing Vessels license endorsed for service.
• Must meet USCG physical examination requirements.
• Must be able to climb steep stairs, sit or stand for long periods.
• Must be 18 years or older to board a vessel.
• Experience with outdoor physical labor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading cargo off barges and operate crew and vessel safely.
• Ensure policy, rules, and regulations are followed and report violations.
• Conduct drills and safety meetings as required.
• Maintain vessel budget and maximize cost efficiency.
• Provide instructions to crew and coordinate with shore personnel.
