Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Service Mechanic in Saint Paul, MN to inspect, diagnose, and repair tow trucks. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, reading and writing in English, and the ability to use an iPad for documentation.

You will perform preventative maintenance, adjust fluids, and conduct tests to ensure proper operation. Benefits include paid holidays, PTO, health coverage, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions with a positive attitude.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Understand how to use an iPad.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of automotive wiring.
• Knowledge of/ability to learn hydraulics.
• Identify quality issues and adjust accordingly.
• Work with minimal supervision and in a team.
• Complete documentation (minimal) and track hours.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Adherence to safety policies and attendance standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose equipment for condition, damaged parts, and fluid leaks.
• Complete repairs or preventative maintenance per work orders.
• Grease, oil, and lubricate components.
• Ensure tow trucks are repaired and functioning.
• Coordinate with departments to troubleshoot issues.
• Adjust fluid levels for proper operation.
• Run tests to verify engine and component function.
• Notify Service Manager of additional concerns.
• Perform other duties as required.
