Qualifications

  • Responsive to inquiries, concerns, and complaints while maintaining effective customer service.

Job description

Under the general direction of the Main Street Manager, the Tourism and Communications Coordinator serves as the City’s primary marketing and communications professional, responsible for developing and implementing tourism marketing strategies that promote the community, its attractions, events, and businesses. This position manages the City’s website, social media platforms, and other communication channels to provide timely, engaging information to residents and visitors while supporting the City’s brand and public outreach efforts. The Tourism and Communications Coordinator also assists with the operation of the Visitor Center and collaborates with City departments, community partners, and local stakeholders to support organizational goals, special projects, and community engagement initiatives.

  • Assists with planning and implementing tourism strategies for the City.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid Texas driver's license.
  • One to three years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or a similar role preferred.
