Job summary

United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee in Colorado Springs is seeking a part-time Tour Ambassador to lead engaging tours of the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. You will share the mission of Team USA, welcome guests, and tailor experiences for diverse groups.

The role requires strong communication, comfort speaking to large groups, and willingness to assist with front desk tasks and events.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication and comfort speaking in large groups.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Tour guide or equivalent experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tours of the CSOPTC for visiting guests (internal and external).
• Share USOPC mission and values during tours; include VIPs, athletes, families, partners.
• Adapt tour script to provide accurate and unique experiences.
• Collaborate with Visitor Center leadership to update FAQs and tour content.
• Assist at front desk with POS, cash reconciliation, inquiries, and data capture.
• Deliver top-level customer service and promote the Olympic & Paralympic Movement.
• Support opening/closing procedures, set-up/teardown for events.

Here’s a Summary Of Responsibilities

Provide tours of the Colorado Springs Olympic& ParalympicTraining Centerfor all visiting guests (internal and external).

• Share the mission and values of the U.S.Olympic& ParalympicCommittee(USOPC)through informative and captivating tours of the Colorado Springs Olympic& ParalympicTraining Center (CSOPTC). Tour guests include, butarenot limited to, tourists from all over the country and world, visiting athletes and families, community partners, sponsors, National Governing Bodies, USOPC staff, VIPs, donors, resident athletes and schools.
• Conduct VIP Tours that include additional behind the scenes visits and dialogue.
• Adapt the CSOPTC tour script as your own ensuring guests receive an accurate yet unique experience.
• Collaborate with CSOPTC Visitor Center leadership in continually updating and editing the tour script with new FAQ, advancements in sport, upgrades to the CSOPTC, news on the Olympic and Paralympic Movements and more.
• Assist with staffing the front deskwith tasks such as point of sale, cash reconciliation,guests’inquiries,answering phones,tour gathering, data capture, etc.
• Provide top level customer service to all guests of the CSOPTC and help grow a passion for theOlympic& ParalympicMovement.
• Assist fellow Tour Ambassadors with CSOPTC Visitor Center opening and closing procedures to include (but not limited to) operatingaudio-visualequipment, reconciling cash drawer, scheduling large group tours and preparing for VIP tours.
• Assist with event set-up and teardown.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR/AED/FirstAid or willing to get certified
• Tour guide or equivalent experience preferred
• Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and be comfortable speaking in large groups of 50 or more.
