Job summary

Michael Best seeks a Total Rewards Specialist to administer and improve the firm’s benefits, leave, and compensation programs for an excellent employee experience and strong governance. You will partner with Payroll, Finance and Firm Leadership to ensure accurate, compliant total rewards services.

Responsibilities include leading open enrollment, serving as UKG benefits SME, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the compensation program design and benchmarking efforts across the firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in total rewards with emphasis on benefits and compensation administration.
• Experience administering leave programs (FMLA, parental leave, STD).
• Knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA and compliance for benefits/compensation.
• Experience in salary surveys, market research, pay equity analysis and job evaluation.
• HRIS proficiency; UKG benefits module SME preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve benefits, leave, and compensation programs.
• Lead open enrollment planning and execution with HRIS config and audits.
• Serve as UKG benefits SME; maintain plan configuration and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA; assist audits and filings.
• Support and govern compensation programs including benchmarking and ranges.
• Partner with leadership to design and maintain comprehensive compensation strategy.
• Conduct market research, surveys, and analyses for equity and competitiveness.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation and unemployment claims with Payroll.
• Oversee leave benefits (FMLA/ parental/ STD) with HR and third-party administrator.
