Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska seeks a Comp & Benefits Intern for Summer 2027. The hybrid program in Omaha offers hands-on experience with payroll, compensation, benefits, and wellness projects, partnered with seasoned HR professionals to learn how total rewards support our teammates.

You will collaborate across HR to assess needs, analyze data, and help implement solutions that attract and develop our workforce.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelors degree program in human resources, organizational leadership, business administration, or related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide variety of Compensation and Benefits projects to include payroll, compensation, benefits, wellness, data and technology.
• Work closely with different areas of HR to evaluate the organization and employee’s needs and recommend solutions.
