Job summary

Advocate Health’s Musculoskeletal Institute (MSKI) – Union in Charlotte, NC seeks a Physician Assistant to support a dedicated Total Joint Replacement program. The role blends outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and operating room responsibilities within a collaborative orthopedic team.

The ideal candidate will hold NC PA licensure, NCCPA certification, and DEA eligibility, with experience in perioperative care and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina license to practice as a Physician Assistant or eligibility.
• DEA licensure or eligibility required.
• Board-certified NCCPA (PA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinic, inpatient, and operating room settings.
• Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient management.
• Serve as first assistant in the operating room as appropriate.
• Coordinate care with orthopedic surgeons, nursing, and rehabilitation teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and expectations.
• Participate in shared call coverage, including weekends and holidays.
