Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to support the Total Joint Replacement program at MSKI Union in Charlotte, NC. The role blends outpatient clinic work, inpatient rounding, and operating room duties to provide comprehensive care across the surgical journey.

The PA will collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management while participating in a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Must possess or be eligible for DEA licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification (PA) required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.
• Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management.
• Serve as first assistant in the operating room as appropriate.
• Coordinate patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing, rehabilitation, and care coordinators.
• Participate in shared call rotations including weekends/holidays.
