Job summary

Northgate Gonzalez Market in Vista, CA is seeking a part-time Tortilleria Machine Op Store #29. You will cook Nixtamal, run the tortilla mill, package tortillas, and assist customers in a fast-paced Tortillería department.

Requirements include 1 year in tortillería or machine operations, a high school diploma (preferred), safety and food safety training, basic math and computer skills, and weekend/evening availability. Associate discount eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience in tortillería or machine operations.
• Safety Training and Food Safety certificate required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cook Nixtamal and operate the tortilla mill and dough processing.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service in the Tortillería department.
• Maintain sanitation and shop cleanliness according to health regulations.
• Set up and operate machines; adjust speeds and fixtures per specs.
• Perform quality checks on tortillas, tostadas and chips.
