A leading recycling company in Houston is seeking a torch cutter to work from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Responsibilities include preparing or cleaning metal with two types of torches. Candidates must be proficient in operating a skid steer bobcat and a forklift, with experience in the scrap industry preferred. Job description

Overview

Market Street Recycling is looking for a torch cutter. The hours are from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM. The pay range listed is based on prior experience.

Responsibilities

The objectives are to prepare or clean metal using two torches: a portable plasma torch and a traditional handheld oxy-fuel torch.

Requirements

• You must be proficient in running a skid steer bobcat and a forklift to move material prior to cutting and after the material is prepared.
• Experience within the scrap industry or experience cutting metal is preferred.

There are two breaks and a 30 min. break to eat during the work period. Uniforms can be provided as well as PPE.
