Job summary

The Maintenance Technician role at PPG's Cleveland, OH plant focuses on installation, troubleshooting and repair of topcoat process equipment, guiding operators and updating manuals. The position is onsite in Cleveland with a Friday–Monday shift.

The role requires mechanical and electrical repair knowledge, CAD/MS Office familiarity, and the ability to lift 50 lb. Up to 25% travel is possible; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k matching and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; CAD experience a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior engineers/technicians.
• Knowledge of general mechanical and electrical repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with PPG policies, EH&S, and ethics.
• Support equipment and align with operations at other PPG Spray labs.
• Research equipment and provide guidance or improvements to labs.
• Provide application support for other facilities and assist with maintenance.
• Share data to drive continuous improvement in development cycles.
• Maintain knowledge of installation, operation and troubleshooting of spray systems.
• Learn internal and external spray equipment; propose improvements.
• Assist in designing experiments and completing safety/regulatory documents.
