Job summary

Northern Trust, a global wealth management and banking services leader, seeks a Sr Associate to support Wealth Management technology.

You will collaborate across applications, development and operations to stabilize production and resolve issues using Azure-based tools and modern data platforms.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead production stability efforts by preventing production issues and improving availability.
  • Track, manage incidents, changes and problems for assigned applications.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on incident progress and SLA risks.
  • Develop SME knowledge for assigned application domain and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Coordinate with offshore and on-site teams to support applications and drive improvements.
  • Attend on-call after hours including weekends to support critical issues.

Job Description

As a Sr Associate in support organization in Wealth Management

ROLE:

This role will support our Wealth Management business, product , operations, partners and clients . As a support associate you will collaborate with Application Development teams to implement business solution through agile practice and manage production issues.

The ideal candidates will possess excellent leadership andcommunication skills coupled with a solid understanding of modern cloud technologies preferably in the financial sector. Critical incident may require weekend and/or after hours support.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead production stability effort by preventing production issue and improve production stability.

  • Track /Manage Incidents /Change /Problems for assigned applications.
  • Provide regular and high-quality updates to all the stakeholders on the progress of the incidents, including SLA risks/breaches.
  • Identify measures to improve applications stability and availability to improve support service delivery.
  • Develop to become a Subject Matter Expert for assigned application domain.
  • Troubleshoot production issues through monitoring and log analysis.
  • Attend regular meeting with Project/Development teams to discuss production issues for prioritization, fixes and release.
  • Engage Help direct systems projects, including project planning, management status reporting, systems specifications and implementation
  • Help ensure compliance with all audit requirements including change control procedures and data security
  • Manage and coordinate with onsite and offshore Managed Services provider and offshore NT partners to Support applications and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate with various teams, including offshore staff, and raise support ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of production issues.
  • Responsible to attend on-call, after office hours including weekend to support High and Critical production issues.
  • Ability to work with vendors and support staff on support tickets and follow up regularly till resolution is found.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Hands‑onexperiencewith some of AKS,App Services, Functions,Key Vault, App Config, SQL Server,Databricks, APIM, Cosmos DB, Neo4J, and Apollo
  • Proficiency andhands-on experience in scripting languages - Python, Bash Scripting, Java, or similar
  • Preferred experience with messaging and data platforms (EventHub, Service Bus, Kafka/Confluent) and analytics (SQL Server)
  • Preferred Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, REST APIs, GitHub, and ServiceNow
  • Preferred Knowledge in integrating data from multiple sources-MQ, Solace, XML, Excel files, unstructured data and loading them into staging/warehouse tables
  • Understanding of dimensional data modeling - star schema and snowflake schema
  • Knowledge on Azure DevOps and Agile methodology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

Experience Required

A College or University degreein Computer Scienceand/or relevant6-8years proven work experience.Related Industry qualification is preferred.

Salary Range:

$88,900 - 151,100 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
