Job summary

CompTech is seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer to support the DLA EIS/NTS LAN services, providing design, implementation, integration, and sustainment of secure wired and wireless LAN infrastructure across multiple locations.

The role focuses on maintaining network integrity through lifecycle management, modernization initiatives, troubleshooting, and ensuring secure operations in a DoD environment. Top‑Secret clearance required; on-site in New Cumberland, PA with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in network operations; higher education or military service may substitute.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting telecommunications networks.
• Experience with voice, LAN, WAN, wireless networking, and network management technologies.
• Experience integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting complex hardware and software systems.
• Working knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, integrate, and support enterprise wired and wireless LAN infrastructure.
• Maintain the technical baseline of network systems throughout the lifecycle.
• Perform network engineering, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for LAN, WAN, voice, and wireless environments.
• Support the integration and testing of new hardware, software, and network technologies while minimizing disruption.
• Analyze network performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with government personnel and cross‑functional teams for modernization and service improvement.
• Ensure network solutions comply with DoD security requirements and enterprise standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and implementation procedures.
