Job summary

STEELGATE LLC seeks a full-time Systems Architecture Engineer to support USPACOM from Camp Smith, HI. The role requires on-site work, a current Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, and extensive experience in DoD network architectures and security.

The candidate will develop architectural artifacts, evaluate options, and collaborate across teams to deliver integrated network solutions, including SDN, WAN, LAN, and cloud deployments, with up-to-date tech in DoW environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years supporting DoW with 3 years in military ops.
• Knowledge of USPACOM AOR and DoW/DoD standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural artifacts: diagrams, models, specifications.
• Evaluate feasibility and performance of architectural options.
• Provide on-site architectural support and troubleshooting during events.
• Ensure architecture aligns with DoW/USPACOM standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to design integrated solutions.
• Plan network configurations for system of systems and SDN deployments.
• Research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies and solutions.
• Travel up to 15% annually for conferences and exercises.
