Job Description:
The BIT, LLC is seeking a Software Developer to support the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for the Aeronautical Navigation Office. The ideal candidate has a familiarity with and a baseline understanding of software development concepts, developing coding skills using different tools, and ambition towards future projects in support of the mission.
Responsibilities:
This position involves collaborating with Product Owners, QA Managers, the Chief Architect and development teams in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions supporting customer needs, mission objectives, and product requirements. The candidate practices a SAFe Agile workflow by participating in daily team coordination, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. The candidate participates in planning activities, reviews and implements software requirements, supports task execution, and contributes to deployment activities. The role applies software development and troubleshooting experience to resolve defects, maintain secure and agency compliant code baselines, participate in code reviews, and document technical solutions. The candidate also helps ensure overall system code coverage remains above 80% while supporting software quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
Program hours 8am-4pm CST with core 10am-2pm. Occasional evening or weekend work can be required. When required, schedule changes will be arranged. Typical work week is onsite 3-4 days a week in office with support of a hybrid (WFH) schedule contingent with Program Managements approval. Tuesdays at STL Grand office and Thursdays at the OFallon Illinois office minimum.
