Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is hiring a VMware Systems Administrator for Quantico, VA. This full-time CONUS position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance and will support enterprise virtualization across VMware vSphere and Windows Server environments.

The role emphasizes designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining robust virtual infrastructures, with certification and ongoing hardening required. Salary ranges from $77,000 to $143,000 based on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; 7+ years may be substituted for degree.
• VMWare certification: VCP required; VCAP preferred.
• Windows certifications (MCSE or equivalent).
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Strong proficiency with VMware vSphere, vSAN, vMotion, HA/DRS.
• Experience applying STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, or other hardening frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise-grade virtualized infrastructures.
• Manage VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts and vCenter, resource management, and distributed switching.
• Administer clustered architectures leveraging vSAN, vMotion, Storage vMotion, DRS, and HA for uptime.
• Monitor and support shared storage platforms (vSAN, iSCSI, NFS, FC) for VM mobility and clustering.
• Provide Windows Server services: AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, LDAP, PKI; integrate with VMware.
• Apply STIGs/CIS benchmarks to VMware and Windows systems; perform routine audits and remediation.
• Design and deploy virtual infrastructure solutions; develop templates and golden images for consistent deployments.
• Collaborate with engineers; troubleshoot virtualization and Windows issues; maintain secure environments.
