Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Virtualization Administrator to build and manage VMware-based infrastructure for multi-user environments. You will design, deploy, and optimize vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi, and manage Windows Server OS, domain architecture, and Active Directory.

Candidates should hold a degree with 6–8+ years of experience, IAM Level I cert, and be eligible for an active DoD Secret clearance with SAP access. Onsite, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience (or master's with 6+ years).
• IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or equivalent required.
• VMware virtualization design experience (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi).
• Windows Server OS and Active Directory administration experience.
• DoD Secret clearance eligibility to start and SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Build, architect, and design enterprise virtualization environments using VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Perform as a Windows Systems Administrator, managing Windows Server OS, domain architecture, and Active Directory.
• Design and implement VM provisioning, clustering, HA, DRS, and vMotion configurations.
• Maintain smooth operation of all virtual and physical infrastructure.
• Analyze customer requirements to determine equipment and software needs for virtualization solutions.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
• Install, patch, monitor, and resolve problems for ESXi hosts and vCenter.
